Looking to work with a GC who also understands interior designers? Our general contracting services focus on delivering an organized, efficient, and transparent construction experience from pre-construction through project completion. We work closely with clients as well as outside architects, designers, and consultants to ensure plans are executable, budgets are realistic, and expectations are clearly defined before breaking ground. We have the unique advantage of being able to seamlessly collaborate with any interior designer, thanks to our own hands-on experience in the field.
Design-Build
MEET
First step in the design build process is to meet for a walk through and to discuss your vision for the project. This is where the start of the collaboration with the DDC team and you begins. This is the time to review architectural plans, if you have them. If you do not, we can provide information on architects that we have worked with.
At this meeting, we love to learn more about the space- functionality and design. When we understand what each space will be used for, we can better gear the conversation towards a beautiful, unique, and functioning design!
DESIGN
After the initial walk through, our in house design team gets to work on creating your vision that stays within your budget.
As your designer, we provide our clients with a comprehensive package.
Spacing planning, interior elevations, furniture planning
Mood board with fixture, finishes and furniture selections
Schedules for selections of fixture, finishes and furniture
Gather samples, schedule visits with vendors and finalize material selections
The collaboration between DDC and you continues so we have a full understanding of your vision for your home. As a designer and builder, the integration process is seamless with a full understanding of feasibility, budget, and flexibility.
BUILD
We strive to provide clear and consistent updates throughout the project. We utilize our close relationships with suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to execute the visions of our homeowners. We work tirelessly to keep the information from our homeowners flowing between the architect, designer and builder.
Since we are the designers in the design build, we have the luxury of quick, open communication. This collaborative approach often speeds up the construction process.

Interior Design
VISION & DESIGN CONCEPT
We uniquely design each project to match the needs of our clients. This includes design aesthetic, budget and expectations for the space.
We review architectural drawings or the existing home and work on developing a design style and concept.
We research and collect inspirational photos and material samples for preliminary concept-design presentation.
What does your dream home look like? The more we know about you through meetings, calls, and inspiration photos, the better we can tailor each project.
FINAL INSTALLATION & WALK THROUGH
During the installation and styling phase, we carefully place all furniture, décor, and finishes to ensure every room is cohesive, functional, and visually polished.
Once everything is in place, we conduct the final walkthrough with the client to review the completed design, confirm that all elements meet expectations, and provide a comprehensive package of design documentation along with care instructions for furnishings and finishes.
INTERIOR DESIGN
After the initial presentation, our in house design team starts working on the interior design set which will include:
Spacing planning, interior elevations, furniture planning
Mood board with fixture, finishes and furniture selections
Schedules for selections of fixture, finishes and furniture
Gather samples, schedule visits with vendors and finalize material selections
We will complete a full specification book which is able to be shared in a variety of ways to make us compatible with all General contractors. We can share this via a digital file, a QR code, or even a physical book. This is truly built for you and your needs.
CONSTRUCTION PHASE
We make regular job site visits to assist with all design related installations and quality control. We communicate with the builder on timely delivery of all materials needed.
We want your builder to be able to perform at their best for you and that requires updated plans whenever changes take place.
With our extensive background in construction, we are there as a resource for the builder and assist with all construction/design questions for implementing unique design features for the project.

General Contracting
CONSULTATION
This phase begins with an introductory consultation call to understand your goals, ideas, timeline, and budget, review any existing plans or inspiration, and determine whether you will be working with your own architect or our in-house team.
We then schedule an on-site walkthrough where we take measurements, notes, and photos while evaluating zoning, structural limitations, and overall feasibility. This step helps confirm what is achievable, identify potential challenges early, and establish a clear direction before moving into formal planning and design.
FINAL WALK THROUGH & POST CARE
Upon project completion, we conduct a thorough final walkthrough to guide you through every detail of your new home, from light switches to door locks, ensuring you understand how everything functions. At this time, we provide a comprehensive documentation package containing all warranties, manuals, and product information.
For ongoing support and maintenance, clients can utilize our DDC Next program, offering continued care and assistance to keep your home performing at its best.
ARCHITECTURAL PLANNING/SCOPE OF WORK
In this phase, we collaborate with you, and any outside professionals to refine floor plans, layouts, and overall design while establishing a preliminary budget to ensure the project is both buildable and financially aligned. We then complete elevations and technical drawings for permit submission while continuing backend coordination to maintain momentum.
During pre-construction, a detailed scope of work and specification sheet is prepared outlining materials, fixtures, structural components, and construction methods, creating clear expectations, confirming client approvals, and allowing construction to begin smoothly once permits are issued.
CONSTRUCTION PHASE
Construction officially begins with the active building phase, during which clients stay fully informed through our project management software, JobTread. Daily updates, photos, and progress logs provide real-time visibility into the work being completed, while clients can make comments, request adjustments, and track changes as needed. Budgeting and financial information are continuously updated in the platform, ensuring transparency and allowing for informed decisions throughout the construction process.
